The Royal Dorset Yacht Club maintains full-tide swinging moorings in the sheltered waters of Portland Harbour, adjacent to Weymouth Bay. Situated on the north side of the harbour, they provide an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast, cruising to Poole and the Solent, or simply enjoying some of the finest sailing waters on the South Coast.
Outstanding Value
Annual mooring costs are typically £600–£700, including Portland Harbour charges. Compared with marina berths, which can exceed £6,000 per year for a 34-foot yacht, RDYC moorings represent exceptional value.

Through our close relationship with Castle Cove Sailing Club, mooring holders are able to enjoy:

Membership of the Royal Dorset Yacht Club offers far more than simply a place to keep your boat. Founded in 1875, the Club combines a proud maritime heritage with a friendly and active membership, regular social events and superb clubhouse facilities overlooking Weymouth Harbour.
